Camping: Bass Lake has seven camp site locations on or near the lake. If you are looking to camp at a more secluded location, our area has many more rural camp sites to choose from.

Climbing: Yosemite is world renowned for its spectacular climbing areas, but you don't have to drive all the way into the park to find a good place to climb. The mountain ranges around Oakhurst and Bass Lake have great rocks for climbing.

Fishing: There are many streams, rivers, ponds and lakes in our area, where you can enjoy fishing. The most popular... Bass Lake, California is stocked with trout, bass, salmon, catfish, crappie and bluegill. Every May, Bass Lake hosts a fishing derby where hundreds of fisherman compete for cash prizes.

Golfing: Oakhurst has a golf course only five miles from town.

Hiking: A short drive up Sierra Sky Ranch Road or Beasore Road will lead you to many options for day hikes. Fresno Dome is a popular place to see a sunset. The view is unbelievable! It is a popular local rock climbing area, and there are many routes which run up the east face.  There is also an easy trail that climbs up the north side of the peak.

Mountain Biking: Goat Mountain Trail is a fun place for mountain bikes. Take the Bass Lake turnoff just outside of Oakhurst on Hwy 41. When you get to the lake, the road splits... keep to the right. You will pass a series of campgrounds, park in the Forks campground. The trailhead is clearly marked at the parking lot.

Off Roading: Our area has a lot to offer for the off roading enthusiast. Just take a ride up Sierra Sky Ranch Road or Beasore Road and you will have many options to try out your 4X4 vehicle. If ATV and dirt bike riding is your thing, Miami Motorcycle Trails (map) consist of 60 miles of year round roads and trails for dirt bikes and ATV's on the Sierra National Forest. Water Sports: Water Skiing, Wake Boarding, Jet Skiing and more await you at the lake this summer.

Winter Activities: Badger Pass Ski Resort is a full service ski resort offering ski and snow board instruction, rental equipment, ski shop, child care, cafeteria and lounge. Open mid December through late March or maybe even early April, weather permitting. Located in Yosemite National Park, Badger Pass is a favorite for generations of families. A second option, Sierra Summit Ski Resort features 1200 skiable acres. They boast a vertical of around 1600 feet and have 8 lifts to service the area.
