lake located just 8 miles from Oakhurst. The lake offers fishing, boating,

Sierra Sky Ranch Road
Camp Sites:
Kelty Meadow: Open from
May to September
This campground is located
in the Sierra National Forest, a few miles above Bass Lake. No all-terrain
or off-highway vehicles allowed in the campground. Traveling North on Highway
41, approx. 3 miles out of Oakhurst, take Rd 632 (aka Sky Ranch Road) 8
miles to the Y of 632 and 6S40. Stay left at the Y and go 3 miles to Kelty
Meadow Campground. The Campground is on the left side of the road.
Soquel: Open from May
to September
This campground is located
in the Sierra National Forest, a few miles above Oakhurst. No all-terrain
or off-highway vehicles allowed in the campground. From Fresno, CA, take
Highway 41 north through town of Oakhurst. Take the Sky Ranch Road (Road
632) east for 7 miles, turn southeast on Forest Road 6S40, and travel 1
mile to the Soquel Campground. |
Beasore Road
Camp Sites:
Chilkoot: Open from May
to September
This campground is located
in the Sierra National Forest, a few miles above Bass Lake. No all-terrain
or off-highway vehicles allowed in the campground. Directions from Fresno:
Take Highway 41 through Oakhurst, California. Turn east on Forest Road
222 (Bass Lake turnoff) and continue on for 7 miles. Turn left onto Beashore
Road, follow Beasore Road for 5 miles to the Chilkoot Campground.
Jackass Meadow: Open
from June to October
At 7200 ft., this campground
includes 44 camp sites... there is also fishing and hiking. Camp facilities
include toilets, but no potable water. Visitors may choose from the tent
sites, but no RV sites for there overnight accommodations. Reservation
for all developed family campsites may be made by calling 1-877-444-6777. |

High Sierra
RV Campsite: Open Year-Round
Nestled amidst the Pine
and Oak trees right in the heart of beautiful downtown Oakhurst is the
High Sierra RV & Mobile Park. You will see this sign about 200 yards
north of the intersection of Hwy 41 & Rd. 426 past the "Talking Bear
".

Elks Lodge: Open Year-Round
Oakhurst Elks Lodge is located
at Hwy 41 & Road 222, just two miles north of Oakhurst and only 13
miles from the Southern entrance to Yosemite National Park.

Bass Lake
Recreational Resort: Open Year-Round
Located near The Pines Resort
at Bass Lake, this resort has a clubhouse, swimming pool, exercise room,
horseshoes, sports court, shuffleboard, basketball, playground, picnic
areas, and volleyball. Take Hwy. 41 north of Fresno through Oakhurst. Three
miles past Oakhurst, turn right onto Road 222. Follow Road 222 two miles
until road forks. Follow the left fork, Road 274, to the resort (2 and
1/2 miles on the right).
